Mijn probleem
The battery on the 160 GB iPod Classic wouldn't hold a charge long enough to pull the dock connector all the way out of its slot. Toast, finito.
Mijn oplossing
Opening the case on an iPod Classic without destroying the back half is, erm, challenging. Following the instructions precisely is very important, but there were a lot of unsuccessful attempts to crack it open. Also, buying a putty knife from iFixit seems stupid, but I found that the certain amount of spring in the blade was absolutely vital.
Mijn advies
Make absolutely sure you know whether your iPod takes the thin or thick version of replacement battery. Go to Everymac.com (http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/ip...) to double-check before ordering and you'll save a bunch of time that I wasted.
