Replaced iPhone 5c battery and lightning connector

The phone was not charging unless the cable was held just right... tried cleaning out any lint/dirt in the socket, but that didn't help.

Mijn oplossing

After opening up the phone (the iSlack made that effortless) two screws fell out... the ones holding in the lightning connector. I decided to go ahead and replace the parts anyway, just to make sure. Taking the battery out was a pain... despite how careful I was, the adhesive tore on both sides, so the iOpener was a savior. Use of the organization tray kept the screws from getting lost and things went back together without a hitch... the hardest part was getting the WiFi antenna snapped back in place. The new battery came 80% charged, so it was immediately usable once it was all put back together and we don't have any problems with charging it any more.

Mijn advies

If your not replacing the battery, dont remove it. when replacing the lighting port, take the rubber cap off the old microphone and put it on the new one where a replacement is not included. Take off the adhesive coverings from the lightning connector assembly one at a time to keep it clean and give you time to mold the wiring to the enclosure.
