Mijn probleem

A colleague at work had a 2012 MacBook Air that had just died, and had been quoted NZ$900 to replace the logic board. She decided instead l to just buy a new one. I said I'd give it a try to repair and get all her data back so she just gave me the dead air.

I bought a secondhand logic board through eBay for NZ$250 and the suggested tools from the ifixit guide.

Mijn oplossing

The repair went very well. I retrieved all the data off the air, and rebuilt with a fresh OS install.

Mijn advies

The only additional thing I did was to use a bunch of shot glasses to keep all the screws in for each step, and this made re assembly much easier.
