Mijn probleem
One day my my kid's iPhone went black and went into constant restarts. When I plugged it into iTunes it said I needed to update the software to 9.0. After download, the install failed and gave me to the 2001 error. I tried DFU, I even tried uninstalling/reinstalling the battery (all the forums said 2001 is a battery issue. Nothing worked. Ordered the replacement from iFixit.
Mijn oplossing
Awesome. Straightforward. A total of 4 screws. Took all of 5 minutes. It would have been nice if the kit included a blue spudger (to help release the battery from its adhesive). After the install the updates went fine and my kid has their "iPod" back. Thanks!
