Pay for Quality - it's worth it!!!

Mijn probleem

I replaced the battery in my iPhone 5s because the OEM one wouldn't last more than 2 hours (and every possible drain was turned off). I purchased a battery from what I thought was a reputable company, but it turned out horrible. The life was barely improved (only got 4 hours out of it, and it was giving off heat!) and it actually swelled so much it broke open the top of my case! I decided to give the phone one more chance and go with iFixit after watching the videos and believing them to actually have quality products!!!!

Mijn oplossing

The online instructions were informative, and I especially like the "Be careful" notes! I had done this before, so I was a little more comfortable with it this time...and it took me maybe 20-30 minutes. The new battery is up and running and I can get through a whole day using only 30%! Oh, and it's not giving off any heat like the last one!!

Mijn advies

I would definitely recommend getting magnifying glasses. When removing the battery connector, you can easily go down too deep and break something so tiny, you don't even notice (speaking from experience on the last replacement).

Also - get the clamp suction cup so you don't open it too far. I found the single one too hard to control.
