The old battery was not holding charge for long, I had to charge it multiple times a day.

Mijn oplossing

The repair kit was neatly arranged. The video was helpful. The guide could have used a little more magnification in some of the areas of the phone but was ok. I completed the repair in about 15 minutes. One scary part was when the screen came off. From the video I got the warning that it would take more force than expected, but after trying for a while I was not able to get to a point where just a little bit of the screen would lift. The edges were dusty/gritty when it came off so that was probably the extra resistance. Instead, after several attempts and increasing force, it just flew open all of a sudden. Luckily my leg or arm were in the way so it didn't seem to have opened more than 90 degrees, but if the position had been a little different I think I could have easily ripped the cables.

Mijn advies

Be very very careful when opening the screen. It takes a lot of force. You need to be prepared to stop the motion somehow so that it doesn't go too far. The clampy suction cups they show in the photos would definitely have been a safer option. Overall, I would probably do it again, but it's scary. My phone is working great today!!!
