Not a problem but I wanted to replace the stock 500gb drive in my mini mac with a SSD so I purchased a Crucial M500 240GB SATA Internal Solid State Drive at Amazon and the Mac Mini Dual Drive Kit from iFixit.
First I have to compliment iFixit for the super quick delivery of the Mac Mini Dual Drive Kit. As for the installation; it was simple as simple can be using the guide ( Installing Mac mini Mid 2011 Dual Hard Drive Kit ) at the site.
Was reluctant at first to start, considering you literally have to take the mini totally apart, but hey, what could go wrong with such great instructions? ...and if I would have destroyed it somehow it would have given me reason to tell my wife that I " need " a Mac Pro... ...ha, maybe I should have destroyed it.....
All in all, very easy.
Used ' superduper ' ( http://www.shirt-pocket.com/SuperDuper/S... ) to clone the original drive to the SSD prior to installation. Booted up and set the SSD as the boot drive.
