Replacement of Ipad Air Volume and Power Button Bracket Assembly

Mijn probleem

The fear was the power button was not functioning causing the unit to not power up after replacement of the broken digitizer touch screen. The other choice was to replace the LCD.

Mijn oplossing

Both repairs seemed to go well but the device still will not power up, so the next step probably will have to be replacement of the LCD. Since the batteries were fully charged going in we dismissed the possibility of the power port being bad. This latter may need to be checked.

Mijn advies

The connecting tape and fixture are so tiny and flimsy that extreme care must be taken in the dis assembly and re-assembly so as to not tear them. Very tedious and delicate work.I was aided by glasses that magnified the work area as well as lighting I borrowed from my wife's sewing room.
