Still Not Able to Power on MacBook Air

Mijn probleem

The MacBook Air 13" (mid 2013) will not charge or power on. I have tried two different Apple chargers, changed the old battery for a new one from iFixit and now replaced the I/O Board. The next suggestion is that the the charging logic on the main board is the problem.

Mijn oplossing

The repair went very smoothly. The most delicate part was releasing the retaining flap on the microphone ribbon ZIF socket and on the fan cable ZIF socket, then getting the cable and ribbon reseated properly. I can only guess if all was right as the problem still exists.

Mijn advies

The spudger shown in the repair steps on iFixit has a pointed tip. My spudgers were older and did not have this point. Enlarging the ZIF socket area in the photos may help to show what you are trying to flip. The black on black of the parts can make distinguishing parts difficult. The retaining flap gives very easily so if you are having trouble you are probably prying on the socket itself.
