Mijn probleem
While attending my best friends graduation from nursing school I was waiting for the event to begin and was shooting pics here and there. The seating was auditorium style and someone wanted to get by, well I sat the iPad on my lap and shifted to allow them room and the iPad slid off my lap and landed on the "concrete" floor on the right corner and then screen down. Needless to say it was smashed on the corner and several spider cracks throughout. UGHHHHH!!
Mijn oplossing
Well, considering I am a Systems Administrator (tech savvy already) I was still a little skeptical about replacing the screen myself. I thought about having it done professionally but just seemed toooooo pricy.
Regardless, the repair went surprising well. My son and I completed the process within 2 1/2 hours. I think most of that was because of the caution we took while taking the cracked sceen off. I am sure there are still some minute shards in the iPad but all-in-all everything went well and not to mention the iPad worked after we were done!!!
Mijn advies
Although I cant think of anything I would have done differently, I will say the iFixit repair guide was right on point. The only suggestion I have is that if the screen is shattered the packing tape suggestion is paramount.
