Truly exceptionally simple...so don't procrastinate!!

Mijn probleem

My Macbook Pro 17" Unibody ground to a halt. This meant my 500GB HD was damaged. The solution, I was told by an Apple Store employee, that I needed to replace it which would hopefully solve this very serious problem. He also advised me that the more space the new drive had would help insure the future speed of my beloved Mac.

Next stop iFixit...After a very short search, I of course found a 1TB hybrid drive and the easy step by step instructions which I followed soon after receiving the upgrade kit in the mail several days later.

Mijn oplossing

The actual repair was so easy anyone could have done it utilizing the super easy instructions and tools that accompanied the sweet new hybrid drive. I was so proud of myself that I am going to repair other things such as my iPod Touch.

Mijn advies

Don't wait or hesitate because I never before fixed anything tech but now I am empowered to fix anything worth fixing. It is truly almost foolproof and extremely easy. The only thing I'd suggest is read the instructions and study the photos several times to become familiarized with the steps.

To all who try, I wish you luck....even though you really won't need it!

P.S. The price was extremely reasonable even though they sent tools I did not need or use, no big deal at all, and the quality of the tools is awesome!
