10 - 30 minuten
The original battery would not make it through a day, and when it reached about 20%, it would die and shut off the phone.
This repair was easy, but I am somewhat of a DYI repair person. It took about 20 minutes.
Be sure to review all the IFIXIT documentation on-line, plus watch several on-line videos of the repair.
5 things to keep in mind while doing this repair - 1) As stated in the IFIXIT repair doc, DO NOT lose the very small battery grounding clip when removing the battery terminal clip. When I removed the battery terminal clip, it popped off rather suddenly and the battery grounding clip went flying. Luckily I was able to find it. 2) When replacing the battery grounding clip, it may be useful to use tweezers, because this grounding clip is small and it must go back in the same place with the same orientation. So take note of that orientation before removing the battery terminal clip. Tweezers would also make it easier to handle those tiny screws, but luckily the screwdrivers that come with the battery replacement kit are magnetic. 3) The use of a 3x magnifying glass would also help. 4) DO NOT rush to complete the repair because any mistakes might be costly. 5) Be sure to charge the battery to 100% before using the phone, and make sure to discharge it completely before charging it again.
