Had terrible battery performance and always had to look for a power cord.
I wasn't able to check cycle count for my battery on my iPhone but after 3.5 years the phone was definitely lacking in the battery department and decided to get a replacement battery.
I did a lot of researching and hunting for a well reviewed replacement battery and while there's a ton on the market, there were very few that got any good reviews. The Ifixit battery was the exception, I found that they had the best and most numerous reviews. While there is a whole lot of batteries selling for less but most were coming from sellers in China. The Ifixit battery cost a little more than the dubious eBay batteries and it came from a California business and include the necessary screwdriver & tools to make the change painless. The included replacement phillips screwdrivers were icing on the cake
I'm VERY glad I made this purchase.

Swapping batteries was easy, certainly one of the easiest repairs to be done on a iPhone.
The battery was the same size so there was no problem with it fitting inside the phone. The cable was a big tricky tucking it in properly without causing any undue strain on the plug. Be patient and don't force the battery in if the cable is preventing the battery from fitting in the pocket.
The online instructions were very good but I do recommend studying and enlarging all the photo's. Please review the photo's and instructions prior to working on the phone. Reading it twice will greatly lower the chances of screwing things up.

***there is a iCalendar bug that seems to be causing the phone to update 1000+ times a day causing the battery to drain faster. All you have to do is turn iCalender off in the Notification Center! It made a huge difference with my 4s iPhone.
My phone can sit on my desk unused for half a day and still have 97% battery left. I'm no longer worrying about battery drain or where the nearest power cord is.
