10 - 30 minuten
I always wondered how AT&T are able to sell iPhones for very cheap. The word "Refurbished" means to make it work, but not 100% work. The battery would lose power just via a text message. I once stared at my power meter at 33% and sent one small text message and the phone went dead. It took nearly 45 minutes before I could turn the phone back on and instantly said 19%.
The repair went nicely. I watched a few different videos and look carefully at the repair job before beginning, to help build up my confidence. I've repaired electronic equipment before so I have some knowledge on what I was doing. It took me just about an hour to complete, even though I was being ultra careful as to not ruin anything.
Use lots of light, first and foremost. For those like me where my eyes are not so strong, a nice magnifying glass helps as well. I have one that sits on a stand and was able to see things more clearly as the screws you will be playing with are extremely tiny. Getting the magnetic mat would help or some sort of shaggy rug to help catch the screw from bouncing away, should you lose it. I did so well that I went and bragged about it on Facebook and now a good friend of mine asked if I would change out her son's iPhone 5 Battery!!! Wish me luck...
