Mijn probleem
After two years of faithful use my battery was acting erratically and dying without warning. Since I want the phone to last another 2 years and I don't want to constantly carry around a charger I decided to replace the battery.
Mijn oplossing
It went well overall. Popping the sucker open was pretty nerve racking - it takes a good amount of force! Also, removing the old battery was a challenge. My phone started right back up after putting it together. I noticed, however, that there was a slight discoloration at the top of my screen. I think that I loosened a cable between the screen and the back of the phone. I pried it open again, nudged all the connections, and the problem has been largely eliminated.
Mijn advies
Be SUPER careful with the connections to the screen. One of the 'bands' is a flat connector that can be accidentally pried from its intended location.
That being said my new battery is working like a charm! I can make it through a day of medium use with over 50% battery! No lugging around cables or bumming chargers off my friends anymore!
