Mijn probleem
Found out my iPhone 5 was part of the batch with a bad battery. If it got cold out, the phone would die immediately no matter how much charge was left. Had to charge multiple times daily because it would drain in what seemed like a matter of minutes.
Mijn oplossing
I read through a lot of the repair notes and went through all the steps before I dove in. The hardest part was pulling the face off the phone. Once that was off, I disconnected and worked on the battery. Yes, the adhesive was strong, but pulling on the clear tab helped a lot. After I replaced the battery and put everything back together, I turned on the phone. There were white vertical stripes going down the screen and the touch capabilities seemed to slowly vanish. I thought my phone was gone. I had to run some errands, so I let it sit for about a 1/2 hour. Got back home, woke up the device and it seemed to be just fine. I turned it off and on again and just like magic, it was working perfectly. No lines, screen responds to touch and no issues. Changing the battery definitely did the trick. My battery now seems to be back to normal and lasts more than a day.
Mijn advies
The only thing I can say is to make sure you have all the connections seated properly before you close the case. I think I lucked out and everything connected fine when I closed it up. For pulling out the old battery, just keep working at it with the clear tab. I didn't want to puncture the battery, so I didn't really use the tool to pry it up at all.
