My ipod would no longer power on. I was listening to music during my workout and it just stopped playing. When I plugged it in to charge, it never turned on. Tried charging via my docking station, connecting to itunes, but it would not start.
My 25 year old daughter can't believe I actually repaired my ipod. For less than $20, my ipod classic is good as new.
As advertised. I followed the directions and easily opened the ipod. It took a lot of work to lift the plug where the battery cable plugs in. Finally used a very small flat head screwdriver to unlock the cable. Once the case was opened I very slowly and carefully pried the battery off of the case. It was held down with some pretty strong sticky glue. I also made sure I separated the other ribbon cables from the underside of the battery, doing so as I pried the battery off of the case. Overall, took about 30 minutes. Very simple, just need to move slowly and take your time.
