Mijn probleem

original battery was swollen and completely dead, as if there was no battery in the laptop

Mijn oplossing

the tutorial was helpful, taking off back of computer and replacing the battery was easy, only difficulty was connecting battery to motherboard (or whatever its being connected to), the original battery slid in and out of the connector slot easily, but I couldn't get the new battery in it because the tiny tab that holds it in the slot was a little too big im guessing, I had to push very hard to get it all the way in the slot, which was difficult because it is a small part in a tight space and it was hard to get leverage, i was afraid I was going to break it, I finally was able to push it all the way in the slot but bent my fingernail backwards in the process, ouch! once I got it connected, put the compter back together, and turned it on, the battery works fine, came halfway charged too which was nice, can't comment on how many hours a full charge lasts because I havent run it down to dead yet

Update 1/25/15: Battery life isnt great. I timed it and it went from 100% to dead in approx 2 hours :/

Mijn advies

make tab on connector smaller so it slides into motherboard slot easier like oem battery does
