Mijn probleem
I considered my problem (iPhone 5 battery replacement) to be easy to solve by myself, especially since I've always liked to dismantle electronic devices. And while I'm not concerned about money so much, I thought it's cool to make this replacement cheaper, as well. So I took the challenge and I'm glad I did so.
Mijn oplossing
It went awesome, exactly "as I have foreseen" (I'm a Star Wars fan). Well maybe not exactly, since I've lost one of the bottom screws in the process, but everything else was pretty flawless. The new battery made my phone feel young again. With the previous one, although only 18 months old, the phone was dying at 15% or even higher levels sometimes. The percentage was simply not reliable anymore.
Mijn advies
The international shipping costs. For this order it was fine, but two days ago I wanted to order a battery replacement pack for iPhone 4S (my girlfriend's) and 2 bottom screws for iPhone 5 from the US Store and the cheapest shipping option was 50 bucks - twice more expensive then the products themselves. I partially fixed this issue by ordering the replacement pack from the European Store at a reasonable cost, but the screws are only available in the US Store and I gave them up.
My advice would be, either to make all products available in Europe as well, or to adjust the shipping costs between USA and EU to a more reasonable level. I still don't know why the shipping cost was ok the first time and then it increased so much the second time?
