Mijn probleem

My daughters iPhone 5 screen was a mess and barely usable after several drops.

The repair kit along with the included tools worked fine. The guide video and step by step instructions were easy to follow and well done. After reassembling the phone though I could not get sound through the earpiece. Speakerphone worked fine. Hmm, went on the iFixit site and found that others had had the same problem after screen repairs and was worried. I reopened the phone and even though the screen kit had arrived with the earpiece speaker already attached to the screen I went ahead and removed the earpiece cover and inspected the earpiece and copper contact seats and ribbon but could not see any issues. I re-seated the earpiece contacts and put only the bottom screw in place and while still unassembled turned on the phone to check and it worked (someone had said that if the screws were too tight that may be the problem). I then put in the upper screw but did not tighten beyond barely snug. After completing the phone reassembly it is working fine. Hopefully (as long as she doesn't drop it) it won't fail again.
