IMac 21.5" Ram Upgrade with Adhesive Strips

Like most iMac users, we go into purchasing an iMac with the thought of future upgrades. With this computer, my work provided unit, it was definitely not up to par for what I needed. If you know anything about this iMac, you'll know this isn't an easy job to upgrade anything in. Thankfully I came across iFixit and they resolved all my confusion. I honestly didn't think I'd need the adhesive strips once I closed up the iMac, but let me be the first to tell you BUY THE ADHESIVE STRIPS if you plan on doing any internal upgrades to your iMac. I won't go into details, but I will tell you that I wish I would've bought the adhesive strips before I learned my lesson as to why they're so important. These adhesive strips work and I'm definitely impressed.

The repair was fairly simply and easy. Just take your time and be cautious.

Mijn advies

Don't be too prideful. I've worked on many computers. Please please please take your time when working on this iMac. There's no turning back once you've broken something. Take your time. Be careful. Watch every video and read everything you can on assembly and disassembly.
