Mijn probleem

I dropped my iPhone 5s on its face. It didn't break the glass, but after that point, when the phone was activated, the screen would turn dark purple within a few seconds and stop responding to touch. The only way to get it to work was to set the brightness down almost as low as it could go.

Mijn oplossing

The repair actually went pretty smoothly, though I did have some trouble finding the walkthroughs, mostly because I didn't realize they were right below the product info (my bad).

One thing I did notice is that the piece that attaches the three connectors to the back of the display was different than the piece I was replacing, and that little area quickly came disconnected from the back of the display as I was installing it. It doesn't seem to have impacted functionality, though.

Mijn advies

Include something within the packaging specifically pointing to the replacement guide. Additionally, actually walk through the reassembly rather than saying "Just do these steps in reverse".

Also, the pointy tip of the spudger was broken when I received it, so I wasn't able to use that end of the tool.
