Difficult

Mijn probleem

About 2 years ago, my Mac Book Air start to give some problems. It was then already 2 years old and I was in doubt what to do: whether to buy a new one or to try to fix the one I had. Since 2 years was too short for me to get rid of this expensive piece of hardware, I tried to fix the Mac on my own which to my own surprise worked out very well, except for one USB port that didn't connect anymore. At that time, I realized that my Mac was living on borrowed time, so I waited until it finally died.. Which happened this summer. I diagnosed my 4 year old Mac and.. Was it dead forever? No so fast, by exclusion I tried to find out what the problem was and ultimately I decided that the only reason why my Mac didn't work anymore was a faulty logic board, time to go to the iFixIt website.. :-)

Mijn oplossing

It went as smoothly as it ever could be! I followed all the instructions on the website and after a surgery of one hour I finally heard the familiar boot tone. Boy, I was happy! Thank you iFixIt, you made my day!

Mijn advies

Yes, before you decide to put your broken Apple device on Ebay just to recover some bucks for spare parts, have a look at the website of iFixIt, chances are big that they have a perfect fitting solution for your hardware problem. Thanks guys!
