Very difficult
Mijn probleem
Broken iPad 2 screen, plain and simple.
Mijn oplossing
Repair went fairly smoothly... as far as broken iPad screens go. Using packing tape to cover the screen DEFINITELY cut down on the flying glass shards aimed at my face (wear goggles, no matter how cool you are). It appears that iPad 2 s have much more glue over the wifi antenna than later models, whcih was tricky. I tore the ribbom off of the three screws holding the antenna down, but the cable was fine and wifi was unaffected. The bottom right corner needs extra heat and care to deal with this problem.
Mijn advies
1. A heat gun on low setting works much better than the iOpener buckwheat bag. Just make sure you use it properly.
2. The wifi antenna in the bottom right is tricky. I recommend you apply extra heat and attack it from multiple angles AFTER the rest of the glue is dealt with and while gently prying the screen up.
3. Always go with the front panel assembly, not just the panel itself. Having the glue pre-applied is worth the extra money.
