Aircrack-ng is a set of utilities made for analyzing Wi-Fi networks for any weaknesses, or exploits. The software can also be used for monitoring Wi-Fi security and for capturing data packets for additional analysis.

Background Information
Aircrack-ng is a set of utilities made for analyzing Wi-Fi networks for any weaknesses, or exploits. The software can also be used for monitoring Wi-Fi security and for capturing data packets for additional analysis. Capture and injection of Wi-Fi cards, and their drivers, can also be done to verify their performance.
These tools will work with any wireless network interface controller whose driver supports raw monitoring mode and can sniff 802.11a, 802.11b, and 802.11g traffic.
