  • Repeat for the second strip.

  • Hold down the battery as you remove the second strip, or the strip may fling the battery when it separates from the case.

  • If you removed both adhesive strips successfully, skip to step 27.

  • If either of the adhesive strips broke off underneath the battery and could not be retrieved, apply a few drops of high concentration (over 90%) isopropyl alcohol under the edge of the battery in the area of the broken adhesive strip(s).

  • Wait about one minute for the alcohol solution to weaken the adhesive. Use the flat end of a spudger to gently lift the battery.

  • Don't try to forcefully lever the battery out. If needed, apply a few more drops of alcohol to further weaken the adhesive. Never deform or puncture the battery with your pry tool.

  • Do not insert the spudger in the area between the volume down (-) button and the top edge of the battery, or you may damage the volume control cable lying underneath. Do not pry against the logic board or you may damage the phone.

  • For alternative methods to unstick the battery, continue with the next step below.

Herhaal dit voor de tweede kleefstrip.

Houd de batterij vast bij het verwijderen van de tweede kleefstrips, aangezien de batterij er anders uit kan vliegen wanneer deze losschiet.

Als je beide kleefstrips met succes hebt weten te verwijderen, kun je verdergaan met stap 27.

Als een van de kleefstrips is afgebroken in het proces en deze vastzit onder batterij en niet meer kan worden vastgepakt, kun je wat isopropyl alcohol (>90%) onder de batterij toedienen, dichtbij de afgebroken kleefstrip(s).

Wacht ongeveer een minuutje zodat de alcohol in kan trekken en de lijm kan verzwakken. Gebruik het platte einde van je spudger om de batterij op voorzichtige wijze omhoog te tillen.

Probeer de batterij er niet geforceerd uit te duwen. Indien nodig kun je wat extra isopropyl alcohol toedienen om de lijm verder te verzwakken. Probeer echter te allen tijde te voorkomen dat je de batterij vervormt of doorboort met je wriktool.

Steek je spudger niet in het gebied tussen de "minder volume-knop" (-) en de bovenkant van de batterij. Als je dit wel doet, loop je het risico de volumecontrolekabel, die onder de bovenkant van de batterij ligt, te beschadigen. Wrik ook nooit tegen of onder het logic board, aangezien je daarmee je toestel permanent kunt beschadigen.
