How to read the Touch-Safe Indicator LED

  • The color of the Touch-Safe Indicator LED provides information about the status of the soldering iron tip. Note: the soldering iron grip is always safe to touch.

  • The LED only functions when the soldering iron is connected to a power source—so use caution when handling an unplugged iron if you don't know how hot it is.

  • Blue LED: The iron has cooled below 40 °C (100 °F), and the tip is safe to touch.

  • Purple LED: When pulsing, the iron is actively heating up or cooling down. When static, the iron is in Idle Mode. The iron tip is not safe to touch.

  • Orange LED: The iron has reached the set temperature and is ready to solder. The iron tip is not safe to touch.

La couleur de la LED du voyant de sécurité fournit des informations sur le statut de la panne de fer à souder. Remarque : le manche du fer à souder peut toujours être touché en toute sécurité.

La LED ne fonctionne que lorsque le fer à souder est connecté à une source d'alimentation - soyez donc prudent lorsque vous manipulez un fer débranché si vous ne savez pas à quel point il est chaud.

LED bleue : Le fer a refroidi en dessous de 40 °C (100 °F) et vous pouvez toucher la panne en toute sécurité.

LED violette : Lorsqu'il émet des impulsions, le fer est en train de chauffer ou de refroidir. Lorsqu'elle est statique, le fer est en mode repos. Il ne faut pas toucher la panne du fer à souder.

LED orange : Le fer a atteint la température réglée et est prêt à souder. Il ne faut pas toucher la panne du fer à souder.
