      Stappen

      Stap 1

Homemade tool, for the repair of bread toasters, in this case it is the perforator for the mica sheet, which will allow us to insert a screw that will join the two ends of the Nicrom thread, split, it is the 3rd tool that I have made when in fact it should have been the first.

      Stap 2

Measure the nail with Caliper or "caliper foot" to use the most appropriate drill bit, in this case a thin nail of 2 mm.

      Stap 3

Inserting the nail, we must make the guide hole with the drill bit, this step is very important, otherwise the end of the stick will crack, before inserting the nail completely we will apply a drop of instant drying glue type cianolit so that it does not move with use.

      Stap 4

Now we will do the same with the screw, we will use a drill bit slightly smaller than the screw we have once the hole is drilled, with a drill bit of larger diameter (the size of the screw head) we will make a slight "countersink" so that the head when tightening the screw is embedded.

      Stap 5

We place the screw and tighten it, and when there are 3 or 4 mm left to finish tightening, we apply a drop of instant dry cyanolit and we finish tightening.

      Stap 6

      View of the inserted screw.

      Stap 7

      Images of the finished set.

      Stap 8

View of the finished homemade tool, useful to pierce the mica sheet at the point of breakage of the Nicrom thread in toasters and to be able to repair the thread. This tool is a complement of the following tools, being this the first one to be used to make the repair.
