Insert an opening pick

  • Once the screen is warm to touch, apply a suction handle to the left edge of the screen and as close to the edge as possible.

  • If your screen is badly cracked, covering it with a layer of clear packing tape may allow the suction cup to adhere. Alternatively, very strong tape may be used instead of the suction handle. If all else fails, you can superglue the suction cup to the screen.

  • Lift the screen with the suction handle to create a small gap between the screen and the frame.

  • Insert an opening pick into the gap between the midframe and the screen.

  • Slide the opening pick to the top left corner of the screen to slice its adhesive.

  • Only use the tip of the opening pick (~4-5 mm) during this procedure to avoid tangling with the in-display fingerprint cable or accidentally tearing it.

  • Leave the opening pick in place to prevent the adhesive from resealing.

Breng een openingsplectrum aan

Als het scherm eenmaal te warm is om aan te raken, druk je een zuignap op de linkerzijde van het scherm, zo dicht mogelijk bij, maar niet over, de rand van het scherm.

Als je scherm gebarsten is, kun je het beplakken met een laag tape, zodat de zuignap zich beter vast kan zuigen. Als alternatief kun je ook een stuk sterke tape gebruiken om je scherm omhoog te trekken. Als dat alles niet lukt, kun je er ook voor kiezen om de zuignap op je scherm te lijmen met secondelijm.

Til het scherm omhoog met behulp van de zuignap en probeer een kleine opening te creëren tussen het scherm en het frame.

Steek een openingsplectrum in de opening die je zojuist hebt gecreëerd.

Schuif je plectrum naar de linker bovenhoek van het scherm en snijd onderweg alle lijm door.

Steek tijdens deze stap enkel de punt van je openingsplectrum (~4-5 mm) in de opening om te voorkomen dat je ingebouwde vingerafdruksensorkabel raakt en beschadigt.

Laat je plectrum op z'n plek zitten om te voorkomen dat de lijm zich opnieuw gaat hechten.
