  • ****WARNING: Be VERY careful in this step as the ribbon cable is very fragile.

  • Flip the keyboard back over.

  • CAREFULLY use a flat head screw driver to pry the edges of the front cover up from the back of the keyboard. But DO NOT yet attempt to remove it all the way.

  • You may break some of the retainers. You might consider gluing them back on later but they don't seem to be overly important with the screws doing most of the work. I found that starting from the BACK edge and lifting that slightly first and then working towards the front so it could slide forward and free the front retainers worked well.

  • CAREFULLY tilt the FRONT of the keyboard up and look for where the LED screen's ribbon cable attache to the main board in the far back center.

  • Lift up CAREFULLY on the black retainer tab on each side of the slot until the ribbon cable releases (less than a millimeter or two) and pops out of it's slot. Be careful to not wreck the ribbon or the LED won't work ever again (at least not without some very complicated repairing).

Soulevez la coque avant et retirez le câble plat de l'écran.

ATTENTION : Soyez TRÈS prudent à cette étape car le câble est très fragile.

Remettre le clavier dans le bon sens.

Utilisez DOUCEMENT un tournevis à tête plate pour soulever les bords de la coque depuis l'arrière du clavier. Mais n'essayez PAS encore de le détacher complètement.

Vous pourriez casser certaines des attaches. Vous pourriez les recoller plus tard, mais elles ne semblent pas trop importantes, les vis faisant l'essentiel du travail. J'ai trouvé que commencer par le bord ARRIÈRE, le soulever légèrement, puis travailler vers l'avant pour qu'il glisse vers l'avant et détacher les attaches avant fonctionnait bien.

Inclinez DOUCEMENT l'avant du clavier vers le haut et recherchez l'endroit où le câble plat de l'écran se fixe à la carte principale à l'arrière au centre.

Soulevez DOUCEMENT la languette de retenue noire de chaque côté de la fente jusqu'à ce que le câble plat se libère (moins d'un millimètre ou deux) et sorte de sa fente. Faites attention à ne pas abîmer le ruban, sinon l'écran ne fonctionnera plus jamais (du moins pas sans une réparation très compliquée).
