ionvac SmartClean V2 Front Wheel (Swivel Caster) Replacement

Swivel wheels rotate 360 degrees and are designed to help your ionvac SmartClean V2 turn corners or change directions smoothly. Because of its swivel caster (or a wheel that is assembled with a rotating mount, much like the wheels on a shopping cart), these types of wheels can swivel while under a load. They are often sold as a universal wheel for robot vacuums and other machines to improve their efficiency. If your ionvac does not turn like it should, this may be a sign that the swivel wheel needs to be cleaned or replaced. This is a quick and easy replacement, and you will not need any tools to complete it. Remember to remove and reinstall all parts gently.

Stap 1 Front Wheel (Swivel Caster)

Caution: Before beginning, turn off the ionvac and place it on a level surface.
Flip your ionvac upside down so the wheels are pointed upwards.

Stap 2

Using your thumb and forefinger, grip the flat sides of the wheel and pull it out.
If the wheel is stuck, you can use a spudger to pry the caster out.
When reinstalling, the wheel should click into place. Before restarting the ionvac, try spinning the wheel with your finger to test its movement.
