  • In the next step, be gentle with the plastic back case when prying it away from the phone because it is attached with adhesives on the bottom side of the phone. If you try to force the back case off, you may crack it.

  • Use a plastic opener tool to gently pry off the back case by sliding it in between the back case and the main body of the phone and loosening it around the edges.

  • Be patient, it may take several tries to remove the back case successfully.

  • After pulling off the black back case of the phone, you should now see the logic board and other internal components.
