The controll panel on this '01 model just has 2 screws on the bottom. Pull it out working your way up from the bottom.

Remove all plugs. And temp controll knob. On the back are gold screws holding on the black controll board cover. Twist the black LED with the black wires showing, counter clockwise and gently remove the board. Free each corner and lift straight up.
