[* black] Instructions are elsewhere online to do this, but the basic steps are:
[* black] Back any data up, then boot off a different startup disc.
[* black] Format both drives as Mac OS Extended.
[* black] Create a new 'RAID set', and add both drives to it. You can choose '[link|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raid_0#Concatenation_.28SPAN.29|Concatenated Set]', mirrored [link|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raid_0#RAID_1|RAID 1], or striped [link|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raid_0#RAID_0|RAID 0].
[* black] After you create the drive array, you can copy an OS onto it from a backup (as we did), or you can install OS X from scratch.
