Toshiba Satellite E45-B4200 Speakers Replacement

Inleiding

The Toshiba Satellite E45-B4200, may eventually have problems with the speakers through faulty wires, bad drivers, etc. This could cause the speakers to crackle, make popping sounds, or have a worse overall audio quality. When this happens, the speakers are replaceable, and this guide will explain how to replace them if this occurs. Before beginning this repair, be sure to power off the laptop, disconnect from the charger and remove the external battery. This device didn't come with a battery so we weren't able to include images or instruction on removing it.

Make sure to turn off the device, remove the battery, and unplug the laptop from the charger prior to the disassembly.
Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove fourteen 3.75 mm screws from the back cover.
Use a spudger or opening tool to gently separate the back cover from the top of the device. Work your way around the perimeter of the laptop and undo the clips with the spudger.
Remove the back case.

To remove the speakers from the motherboard, pull the speaker cables away from the connector in the same direction that the individual wires are running.
Pull evenly on the full width of the cable so that no individual wires are overly strained.

Using a Phillips #0 screwdriver, unscrew the two screws from each speaker, that hold them in place.
You don't need to remove the screws, just unscrew them to the point that you're able to remove them from the device.
