Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit. Then, slide the latch down to open the cover.

Insert the new battery and close the compartment.
Most new lithium batteries are partially charged to improve shelf life. It is recommended to charge the battery after installation even if the indicator shows a full charge. Unlike nickel cadmium batteries, lithium batteries will provide better performance when charged to full capacity from a partial charge of 60%.
