• At the top of the camera, turn the Mode dial to OFF.

• Lay the top of the camera down on a flat surface so that the informational tag and battery compartment are accessible.
• To open the battery compartment, push the latch underneath the word BATTERY to the left.

• Lift the battery compartment cover and remove the old battery.

• Insert the new battery as shown on the underside of the compartment lid.

• Flip the battery compartment lid closed and push the latch to the right.

• Flip the camera so that the bottom rests on the table.
• Turn the Mode dial to [A] to verify that the control panel shows a full power indicator.
