Unscrew the set screw holding the door handle using a 3mm hex key.
Some security doors might not have a set screw and instead require you to remove the whole faceplate.

Stap 2 Remove the Handles

Remove both handles by pulling them out of the lock.
Take care not to lose the little plastic rings. They act as a bearing, ensuring that turning the door handle feels easy and smooth.
Some special doors, such as fire doors or steel doors, will require you to remove the faceplate in order to remove the lock, as with these, it mounts through the lock body.

Stap 3 Remove the Lock

Should you have a cylinder installed, you will have to take it out before you can remove the lock.
Remove the two screws securing the lock to the doorframe.
Pull the lock out towards you.
