Locate the key that is behaving abnormally.
Gently insert a spudger underneath the key cap.
Be sure to use a tip that is not too thick, or apply too much pressure as you can damage the mounting point that attaches the key cap to the hinge.

Gently lift the key out of the hinge socket by using a prying motion. The key cap should lift out easily.
If the key does not lift out easily, try inserting your prying tool closer to the center of the keycap before prying.

Using a similar motion to the previous step, insert the prying tool under the white key hinge and pry.
At this point you can now replace the key hinge with a new part, or decompress the hinge and place it in the same position it was originally in.

You may now place your key cap back onto the hinge by guiding the center of the key onto the center of the hinge.
You were successful with the repair if you press the key and it returns to its initial position immediately.
