Use this guide to reattach a loose sunshade mount on a NEEWER F700 7-inch Field Monitor. The mount holds the sunshade against the monitor. The sunshade blocks glare so the screen is easier to see in bright areas. Use this repair when the mount shifts, lifts away from the monitor, or lets the sunshade detach during filming. This guide cleans the attachment surfaces, realigns the existing mount, and presses it back into place. The mount must still be present, unbroken, and reusable.

Unplug the HDMI cable, power cable, and all other accessories from the monitor.

Slide the battery out of its mounting plate, or disconnect the external power source.

Support the monitor with one hand.

Loosen the monitor mount knob with your other hand.

Lift the monitor straight off the camera rig or support mount.

Place the monitor on the cloth without dragging the screen.

Turn the monitor so the loose sunshade mount faces up.

Check the mount, grooves, tabs, and attachment points for dirt, cracks, bent tabs, or poor alignment.

Press lightly around the mount to identify the section that lifts away.

Lift only that loose section far enough to expose the surface beneath it.

Wipe loose dust from the monitor and mount it with a clean microfiber cloth.

If residue remains, use a dampened isopropyl alcohol wipe to clean it.

Wait until both surfaces are completely dry.

Place the sunshade mount in a position that aligns with its attachment area.

Fit one edge into the matching groove or tab.

Line up every remaining attachment point before pressing the mount down.

Press the aligned edge firmly and ensure it fits securely into place.

Move your fingers around the mount and press each attachment point until it sits flush with the monitor housing.

Check every edge for gaps or lifted sections.

Attach the sunshade to the secured mount.

Hold the monitor over the padded work surface.
-
Tilt the monitor forward, backward, and side to side while watching each attachment point.

Confirm that the mount stays flush and the sunshade does not shift or detach.

Slide the battery back onto its plate, or reconnect the external power source.

Place the monitor back on the camera rig and tighten the monitor mount knob until the monitor is stable.

After completing these steps, the sunshade mount should be securely reattached to the NEEWER F700 field monitor. Check that the mount stays firmly in place and that the sunshade does not shift or detach when the monitor is moved or tilted. If the mount remains loose, inspect the attachment points again and repeat the alignment and securing steps as needed.
