Allow the ballpoint needle to stand vertically. This will happen naturally.

-
Once you've removed the excess thread, take a small amount of fabric adhesive, and rub it against the knot you made to confident the snagged denim. The adhesive will secure the loose strings inside the denim.
-
Apply the adhesive so that the knot is stuck to the surface of the denim.

wtf?! make your nails first!
Exactly how do you determine which thread to pull on the reverse side of jeans??!! It was not obvious, and this ‘how to’ didn’t explain that essential part. Struggled for 15 min, then went on to another youtube how-to that worked easily (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--tHHF_M... ). With this other tutorial, I fixed two pairs in under 10 min.
I did have to try to find the strings (that were snagged) to pull through but with a little patience it worked beautifully! Thanks for the tutorial! I was proud of myself for finally using my little sowing kit! And people are jerks with the comments!
Thank you! This was helpful! I thought about fabric adhesive to secure the loose ends on the inside of the jeans, but so glad to know that you recommend it! Great photos!
