Inleiding
I wrote this guide because my Brother XM2701 stopped moving. I went to find some information for disassembly. Unfortunately, none exists that I know of. So I write this guide in the hopes that it helps someone else not have to go buy a new machine if it just needs lubricated. It was not easy to remove the front case. I warn anyone trying to this to give yourself a lot of time. I believe this is also the same model as the LX2763, but I do not own that so I cannot be sure. There are not very many screws to hold this sewing machine together. That means we are going to have to work our way around loosening a lot of plastic. I honestly do not recommend it for this cheap of a sewing machine, but if you are crazy like me, read on.

Remove the needle plate with the provided tool from brother included with the machine

Keep in a baggy

All three bottoms screws are the same short stubby philips head with a washer

Three large screws

One smaller screw on the underside of the arm

Should come right off. Only held by compression and one of the large screws that was removed previously

Work around the top of the case with the spudger until the entire top is free from the back.

Reference images for where the case is connected are shown.

You will end up just running your spudger along the entire case. Just keep working around until it separates.

Work around the side of the case with the spudger until the entire top is free from the back

Work around the inside of the case with the spudger until the entire inside is free from the back

Work around the bottom of the case with the spudger until the entire bottom is free from the back

Once the entire case is separated. Lift the bottom up until you can see the LED cable in the bottom right near the motor. Disconnect it.

Lift the bottom up and out. When I did this I used a little to much force and accidentally popped off my front wheel. It was easy to put back on. It is hard to get off so make sure you get it right and not backwards.

You need to lift from the bottom forward to escape the top dials.

Use compressed air to remove debris inside of the machine.

Lubricate metal moving parts
