BMW 2003-2010 5 Series Tail Light Bulb Replacement

    • Open the trunk of the car to access the tail lights.

    • Remove the two 5 mm screws holding the panel cover in place.

    • With a flathead screwdriver, turn the screws half a turn counterclockwise.

    • Pull up the trunk matt and remove it from the corner.

    • Pull up the panel by the tab.

    • The panel should lift right out.

    • You will see the light bulb holster.

    • Turn the dial in the middle of of the black plastic light bulb holster.

    • Pull the holster out of the trunk bay.

    • Grab the light bulb at the base and twist counterclockwise.

    • DO NOT TWIST THE BULB BY THE GLASS.

    • Pull out the bulb and repeat the process in reverse order with the new bulb to reassemble.
