Amana ABB2221FEB Light Bulb Replacement

Inleiding

In this fix, we will be replacing a light bulb in an Amana refrigerator. This fix will roughly take 3-5 minutes to complete and does not require any tools to complete. The best way to complete this fix is to remove any food or drinks from the top shelf of the refrigerator to have enough space to remove the guard and light bulb. It is important to remember to plug your refrigerator back into the outlet after completion so food does not spoil. Removing the guard may require some force and specific finger placement, make sure to follow step 3 fully in order to move on with the fix in as fast of a time as possible.

Unplug the refrigerator to turn off all light bulbs and electricity running to them.
Remember that unplugging the refrigerator will turn off the entire fridge and any food inside will start to become warmer.

Try to have the door held open during the fix so it is not swinging back into position.

Remove the guard to the lightbulbs by pushing away from the door to unhinge the guard.

Remove the lightbulb by rotating clockwise to the door.
Be careful of the temperature of the bulb depending on how recent the refrigerator was unplugged.
