Place the laptop facing down and find the slider close to the battery.
Use a screwdriver or other pointed tool to slide it to the right.

While keeping the slider pushed to the right, use your other hand to pull the battery out from the right side to the left until it completely comes out.

Install the new battery with the little tabs facing the laptop. Although keeping the slider pushed to the right when installing the new battery is recommended, it is not necessary; the battery can be inserted until it clicks in place.
