Always be sure to properly disconnect the battery before doing any electrical work on the car.
Use a spudger to gently pry down on the clear plastic covers until they pop off.
Do not pry on or near the highlighted spaces in the pictures. These areas are where the clips are located and are much more prone to damage.

Use a spudger to pry off the silver reflective pieces within the socket housing.
Be cautious prying near the highlighted areas. However, for these inserts, the clips are less likely to break due to their location underneath.
