Use a spudger or opening tool to open the key fob by inserting it into the indent on the side of the fob and prying it up.
We don't recommend using a screwdriver for prying (as the photo demonstrates) as this could cause damage to the fob or battery.

Use a spudger to pry the battery up.
Don't use a screwdriver to pry a battery. This could damage the battery and is potentially dangerous.
