Open driver side door.
Lift the car hood lever until you hear your hood release.
If your hood release lever has a "2x" symbol, this indicates a double-pull hood release lever. Pull the lever once, release the lever, and pull it a second time to release the hood latch.
Slide your hand under the hood and lift it up.
If your BMW does not have a double-pull release lever, find the release latch under the BMW symbol on the hood. Push or lift this latch to unlock the hood.
