Inleiding

Fuses are used in electronics to protect electrical components from being exposed to excess current from the power supply. The fuse melts during a surge and breaks the circuit to protect the valuable electrical component. The element associated with a blown fuse will be disabled until the fuse is replaced.

Turn off the vehicle before beginning the fuse changing process to avoid electrocution.

  • Pull on the lever by the driver's feet.

  • Move to the front of the vehicle.

  • There is a latch below the center of the hood, push it to the left.

  • Lift the hood and support it with the hood strut.

  • Disengage the latch located on the side of the fuse box.

  • Swing the lid open.

  • Referencing the manufacturer's exterior fuse box diagram, identify the fuse that needs replacement.

  • Carefully remove the fuse that corresponds to the electrical failure in the vehicle.

  • Check for damage or discoloration in the fuse.

  • Replace the damaged fuse with the new fuse.

  • Close the fuse box.
