The 2008-2013 Volkswagen Golf tail light bulbs may burn out over time. This replacement guide will instruct users how to locate, remove, and replace these light bulbs.

On the driver's side of the vehicle's rear cargo area, locate the rectangular tail light compartment cover.

With the cover removed, locate the light bulb assembly.

Use a flathead screwdriver to release the locking tab.

Turn the assembly so that the smaller tail light bulb and larger fog light bulb are visible.

Using your fingers, gently pull the tail light bulb out of the socket.

Insert a new replacement light bulb into the tail light socket.
